There will be noone in the in guest apartment when you are there. Its actually detached from the home and was used as servant quarters back when the home was first built by General West Moreland. It can be rented for an additional cost and a $75 cleaning fee if you would like more space in addition to the main house. House Rules

No ski/snowboard equipment in house, please leave in garage or outside No pets on furniture or beds, especially bedspreads No parties Please be careful of allowing your dog around deer fecal matter. If they accidently eat it, it can make them very sick Water: Beech Mountain is a "green" town and so is the cabin you are staying in. Please restrict your water usage for conservation purpose. A. Turn off water while brushing teeth B. Limit shower times to 5 minutes and do not allow water to run unless you are using it or actually under the shower. C. The dishwasher conserves more water than letting water run while hand washing dishes. Just rinse and load. please rinse all food particles off. Please do not put dirty or grease pans back in cabinets, and use dishwasher whenever possible. Please hand wash pots and pans as they are not dishwasher safe. D. Please shut outside water off when not in use E. Save our planet by hanging up bath towels after use. D. The Town of Beech Mountain would also encourage guests to only do full loads for laundry and if possible try to wait till you return home.

This was our favorite place we have stayed in the area and we will be back. The house was great- lots of room for all 5 of us. The views are spectacular! 10/10 recommend!

This place was beyond beautiful! The minute my family & I got here I tried to get a spot for next year. I hope they will keep renting it out. Denise & Debbie were always answering any questions asap. The place was very clean and had almost anything you could think of for the kitchen. Not far from the ski resort. The views were unbelievingly breathtaking & deer and turkeys were everywhere. I hope to be able to go back. 12/10 recommend.

Absolutely beautiful views. The deer were all around and not afraid of us at all. The house has a lot of beautiful touches such as fairy lights, cool lighting in the dining room and battery operated candles throughout. We didn't use the in law suite but what a great addition if needed. The beds are comfortable and the linen is nice. Love the touch mirror in the master. The owners thought of so many extra things like phone chargers, magnified mirrors in the bathroom, etc. Very close to Beech mountain activities. Denise responded quickly with any questions we had. Overall, a great place. Wish we could have stayed a week. Just a note, the refrigerator doesn't make ice but there is an ice maker downstairs in the bar area that works great.

New treasured family memories that will last us forever!! We spent our Thanksgiving in this beautiful home; our three year old got to experience her first snow sightings, mountain sunrises and sunsets, and fed the deer at Mr. Paul’s (a neighbor not too far). The mountains and sky are some of the best views and if you peek outside, you are likely to see more than one deer roaming the grounds. The home is so warm and has everything you need; from a cozy night in with the fire place to spending time out on the deck with a hot chocolate, games for the family, or a soft bed waiting for you after a day exploring Grandfather mountain or a neighboring town. There are great coffee shops nearby and plenty to do surrounding this location. The hosts were incredibly responsive in helping us with any and every question we had and the owner, Diane, added personal touches that warmed our hearts. If there is an opportunity in the future, we’d love to come back to this magical place.

Lucy in the Sky was above and beyond any Airbnb we've stayed in. There wasn't a single thing you needed that wasn't available. The view says it all. The deer were in abundance and everywhere. Such a joy to watch. The beds were super comfy. Towels were soft too. More importantly there house accommodated all of us!!! The den was great for us to all hangout by the fireplace. We even got the in-law suite for the teenagers to have their own space. We had a great time!!! Thanks for sharing your awesome home.

Find us

Around mid November to the beginning of March it is highly advisable to have 4 wheel drive, AWD, or chains in case of snow. The Town of Beech Mountain clears the main roads quickly but it's a good idea to be prepared for snow driving in case.
