We enjoyed our stay at Hansel and Gretel. The host, Denise, was very responsive, and toe self-checkin was very simple. The condo was clean and ideally located very close to the Beech Mountain Ski resort. We also enjoyed the very short drive to the sledding hill, and there were plenty of restaurant options nearby as well. The location was peaceful and we loved watching the deer out the window each morning.

Great location right next to the slopes made it easy access. Location is amazing. The driveway is steep so please do not ignore the need for 4WD during snow season! Denise was a great communicator and the house was beautiful. Will for sure be back!

Denise was great! Very responsive and kind. The home is old but it did not bother any of us and I’m glad there was multiple bathrooms instead of just 2 for six people.

Great location and the townhome had everything we needed. It was nice having two refrigerators. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The access to beech mountain was easy. If there is snow and ice make sure you have 4 wheel or all wheel drive as the parking area may not always get plowed. We will definitely come back again!

Denise is probably the most proactive/ caring and responsive host I have ever booked with. Her hospitality was unmatched and it made me feel she really cared for her guests. The house itself was perfect! stocked with essentials, plenty of heating capabilities and a wonderful living room to cozy up with your friends and family after a long day at the slopes. Denise will go out of her way to accommodate for emergencies. After dumping almost 15 inches during our stay I asked her if we could extend our stay so we didn’t have to drive on snowy icy conditions. While she had another guest checking in that day she offered another listing just half a mile away from our original cabin. We didn’t end up needing it but knowing it was there for the grub made all of us feel safer and we are very very appreciative of that. Thank you Denise, you made our stay a memorable one. This is a private and beautiful place to stay at the end of a dead end street. If you are looking for somewhere close to beech mtn this place is perfect. Brought my 2 dogs and they loved it so much.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, very well equipped, and the beds were super comfortable. The location was perfect for everything we needed. The hosts were incredibly communicative and always available if we had any questions. Overall, an excellent experience. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! There are so many hiking trails that are a reasonable walk from the property, and it’s also close to Grandfather Mountain. Some family highlights, though, were the amazing espresso machine, dining room star lights and how you could look into any mirror and see a stunning mountain view (as well as simply looking off the back deck). Great star views too! Denise, June and Diane were extremely helpful and responsive throughout our stay, and we would love to come back!

This was a three story condo that allowed pets. We stayed here for the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend while visiting our daughter who attends APP State. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful when we had a question. The furnishings were comfortable and perfect for my family’s visit. The oven was perfect for cooking our turkey! There was a full second refrigerator on the bottom floor with two rooms. Laundry was also here on the entry floor. It was a nice landing spot for all our coats and boots. It was a home away from home. Our fur friends felt comfortable in the space and there was many things for them ( like covers for the couch and towels and bowls- we brought our own towel and bowls but it was nice to see others there in case we needed them) The attention to small amenities was a pleasurable find. My mother in law (79) who traveled with us was pleased with her room and amenities. The location was nice and we certainly will keep this listing in our favorites.

Beautiful place. Appeared to be brand new construction. 12 minutes up to Fred's, 20 minutes into Banner Elk. Beautiful views, with deer in the yard to watch every morning and night. A perfect spot for a quiet getaway.
